Laura Bonnett Lohr, Administrative Assistant
After over 20 years in a satisfying career as a management consultant in the corporate world, Laura has more recently been dedicating her time to volunteer with various non-profits within the community. She enjoys using her problem-solving skills to help others--whether that is providing necessities to those experiencing food insecurity, fundraising for caregivers and those living with Alzheimer’s or inspiring students to reach their full potential. Laura has worn many hats during her years of involvement with Horizons Colorado at CA. Since 2021, she has volunteered as communications coordinator for the Fall Fundraiser, a parent tutor, and the community garden manager before working as the administrative assistant for the past year. Laura has her BA in Art History from Vanderbilt University and an MBA from UCLA Anderson School of Management.
Laura joined Horizons Colorado as the Family Liaison in March 2025. In her role, she is dedicated to fostering community and inclusivity, working closely with families to help them meet their needs. As the parent of students in the Horizons program, Laura knows first-hand the impact of Horizons. In her role at Horizons, Laura supports the tutoring program, collaborating closely with both tutors and mentees to ensure a supportive and effective learning environment. She also works closely with our Site Director to provide planning and program support for our six-week summer program.
